Sydney born Mick has been playing and performing on guitar for more than Four Decades and has amassed 1000’s of song favourites. He also teaches Ukulele and plays the Egyptian Oud as well.
Mick’s original vocal/guitar style has influences from Traditional Folk, Blues and Rock and Metal Music.
He has recorded and performed many times over the years…..
1982 performed and toured with ‘Venom’ a Sydney based Metal band booked by the Harbour Agency.
1986 recorded 3 songs on ‘Australia’s Newest Bands’ EP produced by Lonnie Lee /Starlite Records (yes on vinyl!)
1988 performed and toured with ‘The Bowie Show’ a David Bowie concept band booked by Premier Entertainment in Sydney.
1990 performed and toured with ‘The Hype’ covers and originals band booked by Australian Variety Artists (a division of the Harbour Agency)
1994 – 1997 performed in local Northern Beaches bands Aura, Savage Mood Swing and Hosted a local Talent competition on the Northern Beaches which paved the way for venues like Manly Fisho’s to present local original performers and bands.
1998 – 2002 performed and recorded in ‘The Treasure Tree’ band which released the ‘Spinoff’ CD in 2000 plus appeared on 5 Northern Beaches compilation CD’s.
2003 – 2010 Mick performed with his Trio and released 2 CD’s ‘Arctic’ and ‘Tribal Spirit’
2003 – 2010 Mick had been involved with the annual ‘Northern Beaches Folk Festival’ as well and had been performing every year at the festival.
2009 – Mick appeared on the ‘Angels beyond the Abyss’ Double CD featuring the ‘Vietnam Veterans Soul Choir’ and ‘Little Pattie‘ which was released nationally in ABC stores.
2011 – 2013 Mick performed in ‘The Rock Brothers‘ Duo in many local venues in Sydney.
Mick has also hosted a local Music/News Radio show at Radio Northern Beaches from 2013 to 2015.
2016 – 2020 Mick now teaches the art of songwriting and guitar playing to a growing and eager group of new up and coming talent on the Northern Beaches of Sydney and beyond. He was also resident guitar, Bass and Ukulele teacher at the ‘Music Shed‘ in Manly, Sydney.
